Counselling

Jennifer is a Neurofeedback Technician & Psychometrist at Stradwick Psychology & Neurofeedback Clinic. She received her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Mental Health (2020) as well as a Master of Science in Neuroscience (2022). Her research focused on molecular signaling in pain pathways and developing new treatment targets for chronic pain that are safe, non-addictive, and effective.

Jennifer is an experienced neurofeedback technician that feels every individual is unique and has their own needs during treatment. She strongly believes in an individualized approach to treatment that progresses at the client’s own pace and comfort level.

As a Psychometrist, Jennifer administers and scores psychological tests under the supervision of Dr. Stradwick. She helps to assess individuals for various conditions, such as learning disabilities and mental health issues.

Veronica is a Registered Psychotherapist at the Stradwick Psychology & Neurofeedback Clinic. She has her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology program. With a foundation rooted in understanding human behaviour, Veronica holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Ottawa and a graduate certificate in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) from Florida Tech. She is certified as an ABA practitioner at the undergraduate level as a Board Certified Assistant Behaviour Analyst (BCaBA). Following the completion of the MACP program, Veronica aims to become certified as a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst and Registered Psychotherapist.

Veronica’s approach places authenticity and genuineness as the heart of her practice. Her eclectic approach is characterized by a blend of cognitive-behavioural, solution-focused, and trauma-informed therapies to place the needs of the client central to the therapeutic process.

Across five years of experience supporting children, adolescents, and families through the challenges associated with ASD, ADHD, OCD, and anxiety, Veronica has committed her practice to seeking ongoing collaboration and meaningful connection between herself and her clients. Chelsea is a Registered Psychotherapist at the Stradwick Psychology & Neurofeedback Clinic. She has always had a passion for helping those experiencing hardship at any stage in life, which lead her to pursue an education in the helping profession. Chelsea began her studies in Behavioural Psychology at St. Lawrence College and received an Honours Bachelor of Arts with this specialization. Following this degree, Chelsea made the decision to further her education in counselling specifically through her Master’s in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University.

Chelsea prides herself on creating a safe and compassionate environment for clients to begin their healing process. She has several years of experience working with both youth and adults facing addiction (substance and process) and other co-occurring mental health concerns. Chelsea has also worked with clients who have experienced trauma through a Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence program. Additionally, Chelsea works with clients who are seeking support through dealing with self-esteem issues, anxiety, depression, stress and anger management, grief/loss, self-harm and other obstacles that present themselves in client’s lives.

As a Registered Psychotherapist, Chelsea believes that the therapeutic relationship is most effective when it is based on collaboration, trust, and openness. Fen is a Registered Psychotherapist at the Stradwick Psychology & Neurofeedback Clinic. She is also a Registered Art Therapist, with a Master’s degree in Art Therapy and Counseling from Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York. After completing her studies, she continued her work in Brooklyn, New York, where she provided psychotherapy to marginalized communities, integrating art as a tool for healing and understanding.

Fen’s approach is rooted in empathy, cross-cultural sensitivity, and a deep understanding of the diverse needs of her clients. She specializes in tailoring treatment plans to each person’s unique needs, ensuring that every session is meaningful and intentional. Her experience spans psychiatric outpatient settings and includes extensive work with individuals of all ages, particularly focusing on children and young adolescents.

Fen is dedicated to working with children and families dealing with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), anxiety, depression, trauma, and individuals from BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities. Izzy is a Neurofeedback Technician with the Stradwick Psychology and Neurofeedback Clinic. She is currently a graduate student in the Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology program at Yorkville University. She completed her undergraduate degree in Neuroscience and Biology with a minor in Psychology at Carleton University in 2022, in which she produced a thesis with Dr. Michael Seto at the Royal Ottawa examining the patterns in the electroencephalogram (EEGs) of offenders. Izzy is passionate about neurofeedback, and the importance of providing individualized treatment. Hannah O’Brien, B.A., MACP, RP (Qualifying)

Hannah is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) at Stradwick Psychology and Neurofeedback Clinic with a deep passion for helping individuals navigate life’s challenges. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Honours Psychology from Carleton University and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Committed to supporting clients on their journey toward personal growth and well-being, Hannah strives to create a space of trust and understanding where individuals feel heard and respected.

Many of the clients she works with come to therapy feeling uncertain, stuck, or overwhelmed by their emotions. By fostering a strong therapeutic alliance, Hannah empowers clients to explore their thoughts and emotions, supporting them in achieving their goals and leading more fulfilling lives.

Hannah primarily practices from a person-centered approach, prioritizing empathy and authenticity in her work. While her approach is rooted in this core framework, she also incorporates a variety of therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Strengths-Based Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and trauma-informed care. Nadine is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), with an Honours B.A. in Psychology with a concentration in Forensic Psychology from Carleton University. She has recently graduated (June 2024) from the University of Ottawa with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. Nadine has experience supporting individuals through life challenges which include depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, eating disorders, relationship conflicts, and developmental trauma. She is a Registered Drama Therapist with the North American Drama Therapy Association and is currently acquiring her certification with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). She is a Registered Drama Therapist with the North American Drama Therapy Association and is currently acquiring her certification with the College of Registered Psychotherapist of Ontario (CRPO). Mindy works with children and youth by helping them identify, explore, and process their emotions through verbal and non-verbal means. She develops specific therapeutic interventions that fosters the strengthening of their social skills, self-expression, self-esteem, and their ability to build and maintain interpersonal relationships.

She has extensive experience in leading individual and group trauma-informed therapy in a broad range of clients with multicultural backgrounds, behavioral issues and psychiatric disorders in Canada and the United Stated. Mindy has clinical experience working with clients who struggle with ADHD, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, attachment difficulties, complex trauma, PTSD, and autism.
